This amazing piece of computer history was made by Missouri Research Laboratories Incorporated in St Louis Missouri USA. The front panel says electronic research Electro mechanical computer Servo control mechanisms. It is model number AL and serial number 73. There is an inspection sticker from Emerson Electric - electronics and space division that is peeling off of the front. They're also two inspection stickers that seem to indicate that this was calibrated in 1986 and in 1989. Perhaps that's when the modifications involving Phillips screws on the front face and the aluminum work box on the back with various electronic parts were added. At present it has a Hubbell plug with a very weird combination of pins sticking out of it and it seems that only two wires from that plug hot and neutral are being used in the electronics on the back. The drive mechanism seems to be a singer brand 12 volt motor. To turn the dial very very slowly on the front you push in and turn the upper knob. 1930
