French Army Surplus
A bread bag adopted from 1892 to the 1950s.
It is said to be a bag for carrying bread and wine, and is also called a musette bag or a massette bag.
Originally, it should be called M1892, but it is often called M38, which means it was adopted in 1938.
Deadstock, brand new, unused item.
The fabric still has its stiffness, and there is no noticeable damage even considering the aging process.
The unevenness in the fabric weave is from the manufacturing process, so please consider it as part of the texture.
It has a linen-like feel at first glance.
Aluminum buttons stamped with "MILITARY EQUIPMENTS".
Infinitely adjustable shoulder strap with pin lock.
What's more, it's rare to find a stamp that says "MADE IN FRANCE 100% cotton".
Cotton-linen blends are still relatively common, but a full cotton designation is a rare find.
