At the time, the Fujica ST801 was the only camera to feature an M42 mount and a shutter speed of 1/2000 second. It seems that Fuji Film, which entered the 35mm film SLR camera market in its later stages, put its prestige into this camera. It's very compact for an SLR and has a durable mechanical shutter. It functions even without batteries.
