The Leeward Jacket earned its name by using a futuristic and environmentally friendly Atmos laminate. Most laminates use a microporous design that uses small pores to block water droplets but release water vapor, Atmos, on the other hand, uses hydrophilic technology to move water off of your skin at a molecular level. The performance levels of these two are similar but the Atmos is able to be made from recycled polyester, allowing it to be far more sustainable.
