" Confirmation, " was derived from a group of sessions from the great organist Jimmy Smith were recorded August 25, 1957, and February 25, 1958. In the first Smith is joined by Lee Morgan on trumpet, Curtis Fuller on trombone, George Coleman to sax, Kenny Burrell on guitar and Donald Bailey on drums, while the second is supported, as well as again by Burrell and Morgan, Lou Donaldson on alto, Tina Brooks on tenor sax and Art Blakey on drums. As a bonus to this new edition was added a song, " Little Girl Blue ", taken from the same sessions, but not included on the original LP.
