(Large-format version) Damien Hirst

In terms of the design quality of art books I've seen so far, this book is at the top level, with high quality and a personal preference that really clicks with me. It's a collection of works by Damien Hirst, a contemporary artist who continues to lead the way, with life and death as his themes. He doesn't show it through paintings, but through objects and themes, making people feel fear and contemplate life. I think he's a wonderful artist who creates overwhelming experiences and spaces. He takes over the space and presents a high-sense visual appeal that's easy to understand. The first work of his that I encountered was unknowingly, the album cover for the Red Hot Chili Peppers. It's a photo of flies on medicine, and I always love that simple idea that makes you imagine and expand on various stories. He's been conscious of death since he was young, and I definitely want to live to see his expressions as he gets older and feel something. He's an artist I'm looking forward to seeing more of in the future.
