This item is a reinterpretation of 1940s-50s French hunting vests and American beach vests. The Forest Beach Vest is a fusion of present and past craftsmanship with futuristic techniques. Six types of kasuri dyeing were created using fine-count wool-nylon loop single yarn in six colors. After dyeing, the yarn was twisted into a two-ply yarn to create the original 36-color kasuri yarn. The dye pitch of the kasuri dyeing is randomly designed so that a check pattern appears when you look closely. The complex bulkiness of the yarn and the three-dimensionality created by the multiple colors combine to create a finish that gives a depth of more than 36 colors. Furthermore, a washer finish is applied to further accentuate the loop feathers. The complex expression woven by the knowledge of various craftsmen results in a unique finish.
