The Souveran is a model that represents the long-established German brand Pelikan, and the 400 size was first released in 1950. It is smaller than the 1000, 800, and 600, making it easy to hold in a woman's hand, and it gives an elegant impression without being too assertive even for men. Personally, I think the 600 or 400 is the best size for carrying around. In my subjective opinion, the 600 and 400 are almost the same size (a difference of about 6-7mm).
This model, the 405, is the same size as the 400, and the trim is silver. It is more understated than gold and has a modern impression.

Pelikan fountain pens are excellent in functionality, and they are not only durable and hard to break, but they also have many attractive features such as a smooth piston filling mechanism that is installed by default, a nib that can be removed and washed, and ink-efficient ink feed fins. The black barrel, unlike other striped barrels, has a beautiful translucent green color near the neck, which functions as an ink window. When the ink is full, it turns completely black, making it a simple black pen.
The clip, which is modeled after the Pelikan's beak, and the Pelikan parent and child logo are also charming.
