A large vintage 12K gold filled necklace by Marathon
Co. This etched oval locket necklace features an etched design on the front and a plain/shiny back The front has a central plain and shiny oval center with etched designs around the outside. The outer oval has a stipple or textured finish to it.
The locket is larger than most, and has a chain that is 24" long, or Matinee length. Very unique retro era locket.
The locket opens as intended and closes securely.
The locket would hold two oval shaped photos - one on each side. Currently, the 2 photo wells have the original photo frames, blue paper backing and plastic covers intact.
The vintage locket hangs from a vintage 24" 12K gold filled twisted link rope chain (also by Marathon). The bale on the locket is a plain oval loop. The spring ring clasp opens and closes securely.
